Reach your audience with Email Marketing Software

Mailchimp LogoWhen you’ve got a product or service you want to start marketing, using email marketing software should be one of your key tactics. Customers come to your website, and in return for giving them some teaser information (say an e-book or some other derivative product), they give you their e-mail address.

The e-mail address is then entered into an e-mail marketing or e-mail newsletter system or software, which then helps you draw those customers back to your service or product offerings.

You have several choices in the email marketing and newsletter software packages. Most of these are web-based: you sign up for an account and then the cost depends on the size of your mailing list.

The choice depends on what your needs are. Here are some points of consideration:

  • Integration with your current website
  • Whether the email marketing software provides forms, widgets or plugins for your website so that users can sign up easily
  • What kind of templates are available if you’re going to create the design yourself
  • The content you will deliver in your newsletter and who is going to be inputting that content to the newsletter
  • Are reporting and statistics available from the provider? Can these statistics be integrated into your current website as well
  • Do you also have a social marketing presence on Facebook or Twitter? If your customers have a presence on these sites, consider the degree of integration that is provided by the email software.
  • If you’re just starting up, many of these providers have free plans that allow you to trial their services first.

You have a raft of choices when it comes to the various email marketing software on the market today:
